I've been keto for almost 3 weeks and I never got any keto flu symptoms. Zero. I did get nausea when I added intermittent fasting. I lost 12lbs in those 3 weeks and I'm currently on week 4. you should have done your research on this. you were experiencing the keto flu. if you would have kept with it, you would have reached ketosis in about a week or two and you would have felt greater than you ever have. I really wish that you wouldn't have done this, because now everyone will believe that this diet is crap instead of something that helps you feel amazing, lose weight, and prevents/cures so many diseases like epilepsy, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and so many more. One of the biggest parts of doing Keto as a person who’s working out every day is that you’re still supposed to eat 4 times as many carbs as the regular Keto diet, roughly 20% of your calories still has to come from carbs if you’re working out a lot. Of course the idea is that there’s more fat and protein than carbs so the other 80% is that but it’s very dangerous to not work out without the substance that heals your muscles

I'm on the Keto diet. I have been for months and months now. I remember when I first started it with my sister and omg it was rough like you wouldn't believe. At first my sister and I cut down our servings of food and it was HARD I was so f-ing hungry and craving fatty food and sugar. At some point I got so hangry. Oh my lord. Lol I don't believe I got the Keto flu. My sister sure did. After awhile being on the Keto diet my sister and I did cheat a couple times. & she did tell me what could happen if you do cheat and what ya know it did happen. One day my sister and I had Burger King and afterwards it totally messed with our stomachs. We didn't feel good. But no matter what went back to the diet. Still continuing Keto. It is hard but not impossible.

Gabbie you were not doing the keto diet. You just lowered your carbs and upped your fat intake (and you were suffering from caffeine withdrawal). You were doing it incorrectly, the same way you were doing regular eating wrong when you were overweight. One of the best things about the keto diet.... Korean BBQ is 100% allowed. There is so much food that IS allowed that carbs just don't seem worth all the hassle. Your body becomes a lot less dependent on insulin since there are no carbs that turn into sugar in your blood, significantly reducing the risk for diabetes. And if you do have diabetes, your blood sugar WILL be controlled. Not to mention other health benefits like weight loss and all that other stuff. I haven't done it long term but it is the only diet I've ever been successful with.

You should totally try Whole30! It's like Keto but a little different. It's really nice and you can buy really nice cookbooks and a lot of foods at stores like Kroger and Fresh Market (l live in VA so I'm not sure what's in the CA area) that are compliant! Also, one of the things with whole30 is that they push you to eat enough to where you're full and not specific amounts.

Me and my mom are doing a diet that is God awful. Here's what we get. For breakfast you get either black coffee, unsweetened tea, or water. For a snack you get either an apple, a grapefruit, an orange, or 6 large strawberries. Then you get a meal of 6 oz. Of veggies and 3 oz of either 100% beef, chicken, or fish. Then a snack then the meal again. The kicker? No fats, carbs, sugars, grain, pretty much anything. So to cook you only use water. You can have hot sauce and some spices but this really sucks. Its fixed so you only get 500 calories a day.

Keto flu happens only if you are not consuming enough micro nutrients through green vegetables (7-10 cups a day). Lean meats like turkey- not ideal. If you have a feeling like you wish you had more food, you are not eating enough fat. A Keto coffee would be helpful with this. It feels like you may not have done enough research (I don’t mean just regular people who are doing it, I mean doctors who dispense actual useful information). Watching your video, I can’t help thinking that perhaps you should have phased out carbs slowly since you’re so addicted to sugar. Doing it cold turkey does not work for everyone. I feel amazing on Keto. In fact when I occasionally consume carbs, I feel like s**t and wish I hadn’t done it. Just because you didn’t do it right does not mean others should not undertake it :/

What my typical day of eating is like on keto Breakfast: 2 eggs usually fried or scrambled with a Tablespoon of butter 2-4 slices of bacon and cheese. Sometime with avocado Lunch Tuna avocavo Salad made with spinach, tuna, avocado, tomatoes cilantro with a home made vinegrette Dinner Salmon cooked with Broccoli and Asparagus with herb and butter sauce, garlic and other seasonings If i want something sweet I can have it. Theyre called fat bombs and the ones I made are made with 100% cacao powder, eggs, almond butter, coconut, milk, poweder peanut butter and STEVIA. Carb free sugar free keto dessert. Eating Keto isnt hard at all

To all the Gabbie fan out there. I really dont care if im going to get hate but i have to say this: She did Keto WRONG, she did no research which is why she failed so miserably. And she did it just for views. Now If anyone actually researched the diet you would know that its not a zero carb zero sugar diet! you can have some sugars from some fruits and you can have some carbs. Nuts have carbs cheese has carbs veggies have carbs so you can eat carbs the key is to eat a very small percentage of carbs! And what she was doing was She wasnt eating enough food from what I could se. Maybe 1000-1200 a day plus working out?? She wasnt eating alot of fat. You just cant get alot of fat just from bacon or avocados. 70-80% of your calories have to be from fat, I didnt see her eating butter, cheese, hamburger fish, any good nuts, cashews are the worst nuts because they have the highest carb count. Didnt log her macros, it just look like she was eating everything else she normally does but no carbs. Also the keto dies isnt high protein high fat. Its High fat moderate protein and low carb! Didnt see her eat anything with fiber!! which is probably why her stomach hurt. Shes starving because shes not eating enough anything!! like chicken breast is the leanest cut of chicken . she ate some avocado and some bacon and cashews. thats all the fat?? Like to be honest she just went in blind for the shock value of what its like to do keto for a week. The only thing i took away from this vid is this is what happens when you do keto wrong! That and i thought gabbi was very melo dramatic. "felt like i was eating mcdonalds everyday? ouil and grease??" bitch where????

The keto diet isn't for everyone, but it definitely works for some. Keto works because it cuts out carbs and sugar and relys on your Bodies natural fat stores. It could have actually worked for her if she eased into it instead of going cold Turkey. The reason it didn't work was because she was addicted to sugar and carbs like grapefruit and sweet potatoes so of course her body shut down when she stopped eating them. Also, she could have put cream in her coffee or literally anything else without sugar instead of just not drinking coffee. Like I said the this diet isn't inherently bad and she dramatized it a lot.

Woah Gabbie. Gonna subscribe, but I have lived the Keto for 10 months. 80 pounds down in fat loss, and a lot of health problems reversed. A little more research can be done into doing keto, I don't think you were eating enough food. Your calories were around 1100 a day with your meals, plus a work out. You really should be at 1600-1700 calories to feel okay. Also, electrolytes are your friend.

I've considered cutting sugar out of my diet, cause I had a friend who has seen great results in only a few weeks (and Mykie from Glam and Gore saw good results too) but I cant just go cold turkey on it cause I would get migraines like how you did, and I would really rather not (plus work). So I gotta figure out how to reduce sugar over time rather than just stopping

As a viewer and someone who has followed the keto diet, I am so proud of you for trying the diet. As to your symptoms, it was just because you did a crash diet. If you steadily drop off carbs throughout a week or 2 and then go on the diet, your body reacts a lot better. This diet is actually not only used for dieting to losing weight and prep for surgery, but for people like me, we use it for athletics. Your body can hold more fat energy then carb energy, so as a high school cross country runner, i need to be able to eat a low amount of things and retain a lot of energy which comes within a few weeks in the diet. Also fruit is a necessity to this diet. Fruit has a ton of nutrients that you need and also cure those sweet tooths. Fruit and vegetables are the places along with some seasonings where you will have a few carbs. Disregarding what you could’ve done and what i do, i am so proud you gave the diet a try and that you found a diet that works well for you. I hope your health journey keeps on being a happy road for you.
